SUBMERGED ASYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR

SUBMERGED ASYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR

When a source of hydraulic energy is available, electrical energy sources can be created using three-phase asynchronous generators: these stand out for the simplicity of their systems and use, as well as for their flexibility applications.

BTSG series three-phase generators derive from our series of submersible motors, the fruit of thirty years of experience in building submersible motors. They are built with an IP68 protection rating and work while completely immersed in water. They must therefore be placed in complete contact with the water that supplies the energy.
The generators spin slightly faster than synchronous speed. The connection to the electric network provides the necessary magnetizing energy that allows the kinetic energy of the water to be tapped to produce electrical energy. BTSGR series three-phase asynchronous generators are built with a compact planetary gearbox to allow even energy sources with a low number of revolutions in the generator to be used.

Their particularly tapered form notably reduces resistance to the flow of the liquids in which they are immersed. It's a machine without ventilation and with a cast iron casing. The shaft is made from non-stainless hardened steel, and has mechanical seals at the shaft end. The windings are insulation class F, but with a maximum temperature of insulation class B. So they are specially designed to obtain the highest possible efficiency.
