SUBMERGED MOTORS - "BTSC" SERIES

SUBMERGED MOTORS -

Watertight three-phase asynchronous motors with an IP67 (IP57) protection rating.

BTSC series electric submerged motors are built with an IP67 (IP57) protection rating. The motor close to the shaft has a protection rating of IP55.
The motors are intended to be used in open air, periodically flooded or completely and constantly submerged in water, at a maximum depth of 1 meter for the standard version (pressure of 0.1 bar). The motors don't have ventilation and when they function outside of the water, they work intermittently (normal limit S2 20').
The shaft is made from C43 carbon steel but upon request it can be made from stainless steel (AISI 304, AISI 316, AISI 420). The standard construction form of the motors is flanged B5. Special versions can be considered upon request by the customer. They have F class winding with B class over temperature, standard V.400 voltage and frequency of 50 Hz. The motor is equipped with a supply cable whose length can be specified when ordering.

This kind of motor is used in pumps, coupled with gear drives, hydraulic units, and in applications on board ships.

These motors can be certified by marine certification agency (R.I.N.A.-ABS-BUREAU VERITAS) upon customer request.
